Nice Touch Editorial August 8, 2025
«Reading the news is getting more and more depressing every year, but you don’t want to be totally out of the loop. I solved this problem for myself with technology from 1999 — the RSS feed, which is a personalized aggregator of Internet content. It allows you to create a healthier media diet, follow only the topics that interest you, never miss content from obscure blogs that publish something only once a year, and avoid ads, clickbait, and the endless stream of bad news. You’ll have to be a bit of a hacker to build such a system for yourself, but there are services, such as Feedly, that make creating a personalized Internet content stream accessible to everyone. With my RSS feed, I’ve saved a lot of time and nerve cells.»

Elīna is an architect, spatial planner and a long-time author at FOLD. Together with the architecture office «No Rules Just Architecture», she created the Latvian pavilion «Its not for you! It’s for the building» at the 17th International Architecture Biennale in Venice. Together with Ivars Veinbergs, she has just founded the design office .obj.
